Alternate Worlds: Imagining the Future of Education

This experiment in an "open LMS" engages students in process of imagining the future of education even as they are testing and trying it for themselves. With multimedia assignments and readings drawn from educational theory, edu-bloggers, and science fiction, the course and student work are open as a resource and invitation to interaction beyond the boundaries of the single college, and beyond the boundaries in time and space of the single "course." Students question and experiment with the concept of a course, a college, a degree, and learning itself, and that process is open to the wider community.
