This project done by Google uses gigapixel photography to create detailed, immersive images of works of art in various museums around the world. This project brings the idea of gigapixel indoors and applys the technology to art objects using Google's StreetView technology most commonly known through their mapping applications. In addition to the works, one can navigate through some of the museums interactively, getting a immersive sense of the galleries. Information about the museums, the work of art, the artist along with seeing tags and notes about the piece.
